I have been making silver and gold jewellery for nearly 20 years at my home studio on the Isles of Scilly. After graduating with a degree in History of Art & Anthropology, I moved back to Scilly to persue a career in Art and goldsmithing.
My work is all about Scilly. Taking inspiration from my island environment, using the elements and combining it with contemporary design.
I love to experiment with texture and sculptural form, bringing Island elements into the creative process. I use a variety of methods including unique casting processes, forging and finishing techniques using the local granite, sand and seawater to bring a real essence of Scilly into my work and making each piece all about the islands.
I also specialise in hand cut and finished seaglass in classic settings - an idea I developed of introducing the jewel enhancing faceting process to the little historic treasures found on Scilly's shoreline.
Each design is easy to wear as a special occasional piece or as an everyday favourite - and will always remind you of Scilly.
